Great country town, great country pub

Tumbarumba is a classic Aussie country town.

Located in the Tumbarumba Shire on the southwestern slopes of the Snowy Mountains, 504km south west of Sydney and 701 metres above sea level. Tumbarumba is 2 hours from Canberra and about the same from Albury.

As the town is not on a main highway or railway it has retained typical Southern NSW small town character. A pleasant main wide street and splendid park make the town a lovely stopping point.

For a good country drive, leave the Hume Highway at Gundagai and travel via Tumut to Tumbarumba. Rejoin the Hume at Holbrook. (Reverse directions if traveling north.)

Rich grazing land, horticultural activities, native bushland and views of the magnificent Snowy Mountains including Mt Kosciusko surround the town. Tumbarumba Shire has a productive heritage including gold, timber, agriculture, and the Snowy Mountains Scheme and is becoming increasingly known for its cool climate wines.

Touring motorcycle enthusiasts can use our lock up garages as well as off-street parking for trailers, etc.
